What is a Net Pay Program?
Multi Service issues net pay credit to your commercial customers. Customers receive consolidated billings from Multi Service Corporation in your name which they pay in full according to payment terms. Multi Service Corporation does not issue revolving credit.

Is my Private Label Card the same as a credit card or purchasing card?
No. Private Label cards are closed-loop cards that can be utilized only with your select sales channels. Multi Service collects line-item, Level III transaction data for all purchases utilized within your sales network, providing you with the greatest possible insight into your customers’ purchasing habits within your sales network. Private label card transactions are not branded with a bankcard association logo and are not run through Interchange.

What is a dual card?
Private label card transactions are processed through a private network rather than through bankcard Interchange. As a result, they are processed without the expense of Interchange, and Level III transaction data is compiled on all purchases made within your sales network. With a Dual Card, however, your customers also benefit from the convenience of universal MasterCard acceptance. Purchases made outside of your sales network will pass through Interchange in the same way a normal credit card does, and Multi Service will provide cardholders with one consolidated billing statement that includes both private label and non-private label transaction data on all purchases made.

What is a P-Card?
A P-Card is a general purchasing credit card issued to commercial customers for universal card acceptance. When a P-Card is used at Level III capable merchant locations, the customer receives Level III detailed data on their billings. P-Card purchases are always processed through Interchange.

What is Level III data?
Level III data is line-item detail information on a transaction. This data typically includes: transaction date, merchant name, tax identification information, merchant type code, merchant category code, city, state, zip code, purchase amount excluding sales tax, sales tax, local tax indicator, and product/service information. Multi Service can also collect additional details according to your program needs, such as: a customer code, vehicle odometer reading, flight details, reservation dates, product/service type, quantity, or other unit of measure.

What is PCI Compliance?
The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards are an industry-accepted set of guidelines through which acquiring banks, Independent Sales Organizations (ISOs), processors, hosts, shopping cards, e-commerce sites, retail merchants and other merchants ensure that all credit card information and transaction data are processed, transmitted and stored in a secure environment. Multi Service Corporation is PCI Compliant and undergoes annual recertification.

Is Multi Service a bank?
No. Multi Service is a privately held service provider of commercial payment programs. Multi Service issues credit lines and takes on ownership of client program receivables. Multi Service insures its receivables to ensure stability of the company even when a customer defaults on payment. Multi Service is sponsored by a bank, which allows Multi Service to issue MasterCards in the United States and has multiple lending agreements with major banks.

Do you issue credit to consumers?
No. Multi Service differentiates itself as a commercial payments specialist. Multi Service does not issue consumer credit lines, but focuses specifically on commercial payment solutions.

Does Multi Service provide card swipe mechanisms?
A Multi Service card swipe mechanism is not required to implement your private label card program. While card swipe machines do capture basic account information, authorization of a transaction is usually based upon additional program requirements or customer purchasing controls, such as individual P.O. numbers, minimum or maximum transaction amounts, etc. Settlement of a private label card transaction requires line-item transaction details.

What service-level standards does Multi Service enforce?
Multi Service service-level standards are customized for each individual private label card program. Multi Service works with clients to determine the level of program, merchant and customer support necessary to facilitate a successful private label program and designed service-level standards that meet the program’s needs.

What happens if Multi Service will not lend credit to my customers?
Multi Service conducts a thorough evaluation of each credit application. If Multi Service determines a particular customer is too high of a credit risk, Multi Service can work directly with clients to determine the best solution. Multi Service provides client’s with the option to own individual customer accounts or share ownership of individual customer credit lines. You may also opt to own all customer receivables within your commercial portfolio.

Can customers purchase other products at my network sales locations?
Yes. Your private label card allows customers to purchase any products sold within your sales network. Customers may implement additional purchasing controls to limit the type of products purchased, number of purchases made, value of transactions made, and more on their individual accounts. Multi Service compiles line-item Level III transaction details on all purchases made within your sales network, regardless of the product brands purchased.

Can Multi Service interface with my existing business system?
Yes. Multi Service works with several business system providers and has developed a standard interface to streamline the transaction process with merchants utilizing those business systems. Additionally, Multi Service builds custom interfaces to work with client data warehouses, independently-owned merchant data warehouses, end-user expense management systems, credit application software solutions, point-of-sale solutions, order management systems, or custom business management solutions.

What redundancy measures are in place to ensure that my program operates around the clock?
Multi Service takes significant measures to protect against data loss and ensure business continuity. Multi Service maintains redundant networks of telephone lines at multiple access points as well as numerous IT services by a variety of long distance carriers. To ensure data is not lost as a result of power capabilities, Multi Service has incorporated redundant power supplies and a comprehensive business continuity plan. Multi Service also has a fully-equipped backup site to ensure business continuity in the event of site disaster.

How quickly can a Private Label Billing Program be implemented?
Multi Service provides custom and turnkey private label net pay solutions. While our turnkey industry solutions can typically be implemented in eight weeks to six months, each program is individually tailored to our client’s unique business needs, and implementation time is dependent upon the complexity of each program.

How will my company be charged for our Private Label Program?
Many Multi Service clients implement a Private Label net pay program without incurring any ongoing costs to their business. Multi Services charges are equal to a small percentage of each transaction, similar to credit card acceptance fees.
